Matt’s role involved working as part of a team to provide first aid in an effective, safe and prompt manner to ensure the wellbeing of casualties. He also used radiocommunications, kept records of treatment, and occasionally worked alongside other providers to deliver event-wide safety.

Matt interacted with service users and assisted with staffing the counter for the drop-in.

Matt’s role involved keeping records up-to-date, handling cash, preparing hot and cold beverages, working as part of a team, and interacting with service users on a social level.

Matt was a first aider and youth member with St John Ambulance Northumbria. He has also done a lot of administrative support work, and generally helped out wherever practical.
