Matt volunteered for Calder EMS from August 2008 to January 2009.

Matt’s role involved working as part of a team to provide first aid in an effective, safe and prompt manner to ensure the wellbeing of casualties. He also used radiocommunications, kept records of treatment, and occasionally worked alongside other providers to deliver event-wide safety.
Matt volunteered with Sunderland MIND from April 2008 to July 2009.

Matt interacted with service users and assisted with staffing the counter for the drop-in.
Matt’s role involved keeping records up-to-date, handling cash, preparing hot and cold beverages, working as part of a team, and interacting with service users on a social level.
Matt volunteered with St John Ambulance Northumbria from May 2002 to January 2008.

Matt was a first aider and youth member with St John Ambulance Northumbria. He has also done a lot of administrative support work, and generally helped out wherever practical.
